We have had a tidy up and a clean over the summer holidays so everywhere is all ready and waiting for lots of playing and learning. If you went down to the Common today you would have had a big surprise......
Pre school children and parents all joined in for a Teddy Bears Picnic at lunchtime on the Common. Fun was had by all. The weather was good to us for our Sports Day.
The children had a great time participating in various races, cheered on by parents. The Committee provided refreshments, which were much appreciated. Congratulations to all our participants We're holding two Open Days in May 2012. Feel free to drop in between 1.30 and 3pm on Saturday 12 May, during Hyde Heath's village fete.
Or, alternatively, come and see the Pre-school in action on Wednesday 23 May between 9.30 and 11.30am. We look forward to welcoming you then. We were sorry to receive the resignation of our valued Supervisor, Magda Kowalska, this week. Magda has resigned as Pre-School's Supervisor because she and her husband have long harboured a desire to open a specialist Polish shop. A premises has become available at short notice and they are seizing the opportunity. We wish them every success in their bold venture. Magda has been an outstanding member of staff and we are very sorry to see her leave.
Magda's last day with us will be 18 May. We have already implemented a contingency plan to ensure that our high standards of care are maintained through to the end of the summer term. And from today we have started the recruitment of a new Supervisor to take up the reigns for September. We are also recruiting a permanent Deputy Supervisor for the coming academic year and the Trustees and I are confident that we will have a high quality team in place very soon. I would like to thank you all for your continued support to our Pre-school team. Best wishes, Julia Tillyer, Pre-School Manager We now have a selection of Pre-School uniforms. Uniforms are not compulsory, but children enjoy wearing them and our low prices mean that you will not have to worry about their best clothes getting glue and paint on them. To order, simply download this order form today. Thank you.
Hyde Heath Pre-school is open as usual on Wednesday 30th November. We are not affected by the strike action taking place.
We close at 3pm on Friday 16th December for the Christmas break and reopen on Wednesday 4th January 2012 for the Spring term. |
